Dan Audette
Registered Massage Therapist

Dan is a graduate of the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba. He was born and raised in Winnipeg and is an avid cyclist, gym goer, and regularly practices yoga. Dan has been in the health and healing professions for many years. He began his career in healthcare as a support worker, supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in the community at the St. Amant Centre foundation.

With a diploma in advanced Remedial Massage Therapy, Dan focuses on therapeutic modalities such as Deep Tissue and Broad Pressure techniques to address muscle tension, Myofascial Release techniques to address soft tissue restrictions, and Facilitated Stretching to help address areas with reduced range of motion caused by tight muscles. He also provides structural based massage, which is a deeper and more specific treatment approach that can target and help modify postural habits. It combines therapist assisted exercises and techniques to treat areas of the body that have a history of acute and chronic injury and continue to elicit pain or discomfort.

Dan’s  interest in massage therapy stems from his belief that healthcare is everyone’s responsibility. Good health habits can be integrated into anyone’s lifestyle. By proactively working on things, people can focus on prevention and maintenance before problems develop. Massage therapy can also be an important component when dealing with an existing condition, by assisting with pain management and facilitating a therapeutic change towards better physical and mental well-being.

Dan is committed to learning and continuing education. Over the next few years, he will be pursuing courses toward a degree in human kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg.
