About Us

Dr. Ashique’s clinical training in chiropractic included selection to a special internship program at the Wellesley Hospital in downtown Toronto that specialized in clinically complicated cases.  Many patients were referred to this clinic by medical doctors and other chiropractors for advanced level chiropractic care.

Dr. Ashique is no ordinary chiropractor, he is a specialist!  He is a graduate of the Chiropractic Orthopedics Fellowship Program, co-sponsored by the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (Toronto) and the National University of Health Sciences (Chicago).  This is a demanding four-year specialty program that prepares chiropractors for work as specialists in their field.  Fewer than 1% of the chiropractors in Canada have this training – which is why they are often called upon to serve as expert witnesses and chiropractic consultants.

The discipline of Chiropractic Orthopedics involves advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of all physical injuries and pain conditions.  People sometimes mistakenly take it to be a foot specialty (due to similarity with the word orthotics), but there is more to orthopedics than just feet.  Dr. Ashique became a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Orthopedists in 2004, making him the only such specialist in Winnipeg.  With 16 years of post-secondary education, he is currently one of the most highly trained chiropractors in the world.

Dr. Ashique is committed to science and research.  He is a consultant and served as the Chair of the Manitoba Research Task Force (Manitoba Chiropractors Association) from 1998 to 2003.  He works with medical specialists, lawyers specializing in personal injury and has been the treating doctor to some of Winnipeg’s top professional athletes.

Dr. Ashique has been a resident of Winnipeg for 40 years and is married with 4 beautiful children.  He holds a second dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and represented Manitoba at the Canadian National and Olympic Team trials in Toronto in 1992.

Dr. Ashique and his staff love helping others.  “We have a moral obligation to serve others”, he says. They are committed to helping their community achieve greater health through methods that are effective and scientific, yet conservative and non-invasive (chiropractic care).  The doctor is a strong proponent of holistic, personalized and patient-centred care.

“The patient comes first.”
